Zinc Selenide (ZnSe)
Evaporant

OVERVIEW

Phoenix Infrared is one of a select few companies in the world producing laser grade zinc selenide using the Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) process.  Evaporant ZnSe is used in infrared anti-reflection coatings, interference filters and as part of multi-layer broadband coatings.

ZnSe Evaporant provided in irregular shaped chunks 6-12mm

Hints on Evaporation:  Evaporate using E-Beam or resistance heated molybdenum boat.

Solubility: Insoluble in H20
Melting Point 1525°C
Density: 5.4g/cm3
Vapor  Pressure at 750o c ~ 1x10-2 mbarr

Transmission range:  600-1500nm
Refractive index at 600nm ~2.58
