Phoenix Infrared, Inc. is owned and operated by individuals with the longest continuous history of producing CVD ZnSe in the United States. Along with many IR transparent materials, Phoenix Infrared offers additional services including; shaping, polishing, coatings and finished assemblies. As one of the few international producers, Phoenix Infrared is the only company with ISO 9001:2000 certification.

There from the start

Starting with the research and development of zinc selenide back in the late 1960’s, Phoenix Infrared personnel have played a leading role in the development and expansion of the infrared materials market. We have witnessed the tremendous growth for infrared and near-infrared materials in thermal imaging systems and commercial laser systems. Mr. Richard Allen, founder and CEO of Phoenix Infrared has worked on many high profile defense projects and has personally been involved in the evolution of the thermal imaging market. Phoenix Infrared has expanded its capabilities to meet the requests from CO2 laser manufacturers, laser product distributors and defense contractors for high quality optics at an affordable price. With optical design engineering, optics fabrication and thin-film coating capabilities, Phoenix Infrared is able to offer optics from initial design stage to finished optic. Phoenix Infrared supplies focusing lenses, F-Theta scan lenses windows, collimators, output couplers, phase retarders, beam splitters, and specialty optics.
